Dr. Rawiya bint Saud Al Busaidiyah, Minister of Higher Education received Josette Sheeran, President and CEO of Asia Society in New York and her accompanying delegation.
The Minister of Higher Education gave an overview of the higher education development in the Sultanate since the establishment of Sultan Qaboos University (SQU).
She also spoke about the annual internal and foreign scholarships for university and postgraduate degrees. She explained the academic cooperation between the higher education institutions in the Sultanate and their peers abroad including United States of America (USA).
She also highlighted the subsidy provided to private higher education institutions by the Sultanate's Government.
Josette Sheeran, President and CEO of Asia Society in New York affirmed that she is looking forward to developing cooperation between the Ministry and the Society in higher education and research fields.
