South Korea to be short of expert scientists despite oversupply of graduates

South Korea will likely experience a serious undersupply of expert scientists and engineers over the next decade, while seeing an abundance of people with less education or expertise in the same sectors, a government report said Thursday. According to the report from the Ministry of Science, ICT and Technology, the country is expected to be short some 12,000 scientists and engineers with a doctorate degree over the next 10 years.
