
National school students have participated in the artistic competition organized by Maulana Azad Centre for Indian Culture (MACIC). The 2013 contest - due to wrap up later Wednesday - is held under the theme of glimpses of India. The head of the general assembly of national institutes, Ahmed Musad, said extra-curricular activities are one of the pillars of the educational process. He noted that 206 students – aged between 6 and 17 - from 13 national schools in Cairo and Giza participated in the competition. The Indian ambassador in Egypt will honor the winners during a ceremony due to be held later Wednesday.
