
Director-General of Kuwait Foundation for Advancement of Sciences (KFAS) Dr. Adnan Shehab-Eddin said Wednesday that the foundation is keen on spreading the culture of science and building the capacity of researcher both locally and internationally. Shehab-Eddin made his remarks after KFAS awards-giving ceremony for the year 2012 and Science Production 2012 for Kuwaiti scientists and researchers, which was held under the auspices of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. The foundation, since its creation, has cooperated with the Arab countries and other countries to allow scientists present the best in them, and the latest in research to get to bring together joint research on issues of common interest, he noted. Shehab-Eddin added that the foundation grants high-level worthy awards to best scholars from the Arab world and Kuwaitis, adding they are keen to maintain such level in all areas over the coming years. The foundation also maintains good cooperation with other Arab scientific organizations and world organizations, Shehab-Eddine added.
