The Alumni Association at Arabian Gulf University (AGU) launched its new identity in conjunction with the launch of its new official website, to symbolise the new identity of its graduates as they move out of university to various sectors in GCC countries to become seeds of innovation and excellence, for them to maintain their close relationships and communicate with the university from their places of work.
The Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Abdul Rahman Yousif, said that the AGU is unique from other institution, as the first Gulf educational project to be funded and managed by all GCC countries. The university's march is supervised by the ministers of higher education in GCC countries and receives support and aid from their excellences the ministers, to preserve its excellence and advancement and the university’s position of leadership.
Assistant Professor of Public Health at the Faculty of Medicine and Medical Sciences at AGU, Dr. Salman Hamad Al-Zayani, pointed out that the launch of the new identity coincides with the launch of the association’s new official website and its official accounts in the social networks of Instagram, Twitter and Facebook. He added that the new logo was carefully designed to represent graduates as they launch out of university, a center for innovation, into six directions that symbolise the GCC countries and their flag colours. He considered this step as the first in a series of activities, events and services provided to graduates, which are due to be announced.

Thus, strengthening fraternal ties and bonds among them during their period of study to in turn strengthen the bonds of Gulf cooperation to launch the university towards a global level, is part of the association’s vision."
