The Israeli army killing of a Palestinian in Gaza late Wednesday and people burying four others killed the day before also by Israeli army gunfire were highlighted on the front page of the three Palestinian Arabic dailies on Thursday.

In addition, the papers reported on the protests at the Gaza  border with Israeli, mainly in the central and southern Gaza Strip, and injuries caused by the Israeli gunfire.

Al-Hayat al-Jadida said Israeli forces raided a house in Hebron and assaulted its Palestinian residents. The incident happened a day after an army force raided Beit Rima, near Ramallah, and beat to death a young family member.

It said a European Parliament delegation visited Khan al-Ahmar and expressed solidarity with its Palestinian residents while stressing that demolishing the village could be considered a war crime.

Al-Quds and al-Ayyam also reported on the visit, reiterating what came in the other paper.

Al-Quds said a Fatah delegation concluded a visit to Cairo for talks on reconciliation with Hamas, which is expected to send a delegation there next week.

It said employees of the United Nations Palestine refugee agency, UNRWA, held a massive protest in Gaza against cuts and dismissal of fellow employees and called for a general strike in UNRWA facilities on Monday. The cuts and dismissals came after the US stopped all funding to the agency in the amount of $360 million annually.

Al-Quds quoted Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah saying at an event in Ramallah that the US can stop money from the Palestinians but it cannot force them to compromise on their rights.

Al-Ayyam said dozens of Jewish settlers went on provocative tours of Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem.

It said the Israeli army told a family in Amari refugee camp whose son killed an Israeli soldier that it is going to demolish their entire four-story building.

It also said that Spain is considering recognizing the state of Palestine.

Al-Ayyam said a report showed that Google Maps help the Israeli occupation of the West Bank while al-Quds said it puts the life of Palestinians in danger.

The papers said the US State Department said its consulate in Jerusalem is working and providing consular services as usual.
