Security forces beefed up security on all roads linking Suez with South Sinai as part of preparations for the Egypt Economic Development Conference to start on Friday.
Suez security chief Tarek Gazar checked on the forces securing streets in the governorate.
"We are totally ready for the conference and we have taken precautionary measures to secure this important economic event," he said.
He added that security forced combed the eastern side of the Suez Canal waterway over the past period and inspected more than 40 tourist resorts in Ain Sokhna and Ras Sedr.
Interior Minister Magdy Abdel Ghafar said the security plan for the conference will cover all the nation not Sharm el Sheikh alone.
