
Egypt's Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation is scheduled Tuesday to take part in the high-level international conference on the implementation of the International Decade for Action, “Water for Life”, 2005-2015 in Tajikistan.
The ministry's spokesman Khalid Waseef will chair Egypt's delegation to the conference.
The conference, to run till Thursday, will provide an opportunity to discuss challenges and gaps in the implementation of the international project.
Recommendations will be elaborated on this basis for further actions to be taken after 2015, including how to promote the realization of the Sustainable Development Goals related to water resources.
The conference program covers a variety of activities, such as plenary and thematic sessions, sessions on regional perspectives, an exhibition and a tour.
