Dubai to mark Day to combat desertification

The Dubai Municipality will hold awareness programmes under the title ‘Preserve Soil for Sustainable Living’ on Tuesday to mark the World Day to Combat Desertification. An exhibition presenting the effects of desertification in human life will be held in the Al Tawar Centre of the municipality. The event, which will be held in association with the Public Parks and Horticulture Department and Environment Control Section, will be open to public from 10am to 1pm. On June 21, an awareness programme for children will be held at the Dubai Women’s Club.
