
The 11th session of Arab Electricity Ministers' Council kicked off on Tuesday at the headquarters of the Arab League (AL) general secretariat in Cairo.
The session, chaired by Qatari Minister of Energy and Industry Mohammed Bin Saleh Al Sada, will discuss the study prepared by a specialized committee of experts to develop mechanisms of the council as well as reforming the executive bureau of the council for the next two years.
Also, the council will follow up the implementation of the recent Arab Summit's decisions related to the electricity field.
The conferees will take up the developments of the overall study of the Arab electricity grid project as well as preparations for organizing the Eighth Exhibition for Electrical Equipment in the Arab World and the Third Arab Forum on ways of generating electricity and desalinating sea water by nuclear power.
