The Belle Epoque, two words that know no synonym or translation in any language. Designating the turn of the last century, the Belle Epoque saw France and Paris become the cradle, or pulsating heart of the giant leap forward being made by the society and customs of the time, the era of the World Exhibition, Moulin Rouge and the Can Can, moustache curlers, the first automobiles, La Bella Otero, Monet and Gaugin, Sarah Bernhardt, Eleonora Duse, daily newspapers, the cinema, and the Orient Express. A tribute to the world of cinema, the Belle Epoque collection features a geometrical motif that evokes a film reel, with an added splash of euphoric colour. Bright square frames of brilliant-cut diamonds which emphasise the preciousness and chromatic splendour of the central gem. The Belle Epoque collection brings to the limelight the retro feel of the modern design of its motif. Today, the collection, a much-loved must of the Maison, has been given the further touch of class of rose gold, which combined with white gold and diamonds, creates wonderfully surprising effects, and lends a new touch of femininity, to be discovered in the jewels that make up this collection.
