 Rio Paralympics gold medallist Mohamad Ridzuan Mohamad Puzi who had created history by winning the 100m T36 (cerebral palsy) gold medal at the International Paralympic Council (IPC) World Athletics Championships in Doha, Qatar two years ago, hopes to defend his title when the meet starts in London, England tomorrow.
The country's number one Paralympic sprinter who is also known as 'Dik Wan' had set a time of 12.01s at the IPC held in Doha, Qatar, went on to win the Rio Paralympics gold in the same event with a time of 12.07s, beating Evgenili Torsunov from Russia and Roman Pavlyk from Ukraine.
"My win in a number of meets this year, especially the Fazaa Paralympic Athletics Championships in UAE, would serve as an inspiration to defend the gold in London. My coach R.Jeganathan has also set the same target for me," he told Bernama through an intepreter..... Source: Bernama.
