Tribute to Emirati women on year of giving

A tribute was paid today to the Emirati women for their dedicated efforts and contribution to their country’s development and progress.
UAE Ambassador to Bahrain Abdul Redha Abdullah Khoury paid the homage marking the Emirati Woman’s Day, being held this year under the theme “Women are partners in giving.’
He extended congratulations to Her Highness Shaikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women’s Union, Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation and President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood.
He hailed the dedicated efforts of Her Highness Shaikha Fatima bint Mubarak to promote the status of the Emirati women in all fields.
The Emirati Women’s Day, which falls on August 28, reflects this year women’s role in the community welfare and in the success of the ‘Year of Giving’ initiative.
It also embodies the far-sighted vision of the late UAE President Shaikh Zayed bin Sultan Al-Nahyan.
