UAE condemns recent Israeli actions
Cairo - Egypt Today

The UAE stressed its extreme condemnation and denouncement of the recent actions taken by Israel in the Al-Aqsa Mosque, which it considers a dangerous precedent and an act of aggression on the sacred sites and against the rights and freedom to practice religious rituals.
It also warned about the consequences of this dangerous act in damaging the regional and international efforts to revive the peace process, WAM news agency said.
This statement came during a speech by Sultan bin Ahmad Al Jaber, Minister of State, while heading the UAE’s delegation to an urgent ministerial meeting of the Council of Arab League Council, which was held today at the headquarters of the League in Cairo.
The meeting was called upon Jordan’s request to discuss the escalation of tensions by Israel in Jerusalem, and its efforts to change the legal and historical facts about the Al Aqsa Mosque and the "Noble Sanctuary of Jerusalem," in a clear violation of its legal and international responsibilities as an occupying power.
Al Jaber praised the efforts of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud of Saudi Arabia, to end the restrictions imposed by the Israeli occupation authorities at the Al Aqsa Mosque, while highlighting Saudi Arabia’s central role and historic responsibility to serve Islam and all Muslims.
He explained that the UAE has expressed its extreme condemnation and denouncement of the closing of the Al Aqsa Mosque by the Israeli forces and of preventing Friday prayers, as a dangerous precedent and an act of aggression.
He also highlighted the complete rejection of any attempts to change the legal and historical situation in Jerusalem or to impose new facts about the holy shrine.
He also renewed the UAE’s position to encourage countries around the world, as well as international organisations, to counter Israeli policies that ignore international law while highlighting the necessity of working together to guarantee that they are not repeated, and will not hinder the efforts to find peace.
