Iraq's Ambassador in Cairo Habib al Sadr
Cairo - Egypt Today

Iraq's Ambassador in Cairo Habib al Sadr said on Friday that the liberation of Mosul means the breaking of the back of Daesh and that it is seen by world leaders as the beginning of the end of this terrorist organization in Iraq.
"There are still some hotbeds that will be eliminated," Sadr told reporters at a ceremony at the Iraqi Embassy in Cairo to celebrate the victory in Mosul.
The diplomat added that he asked the Arab League to mobilize international efforts to free Yazidi women captured by Daesh.
"When Daesh terrorists entered Mosul, they committed crimes against Yazidi women, and some of them are still kidnapped and were moved to other countries," he said.
The Iraqi government will compensate the Yazidis for such crimes, he added.
Citing Egypt's role in fighting terrorism, the ambassador added that Egypt and Iraq were the bulwark of the Arab nation against terrorism.
He lauded President Abdel Fattah El Sisi’s "honorable" stances in countering terrorism and extremism. (MORE)
