President Abdel Fatah El Sisi
Cairo - Egypt Today

In a ministerial meeting, President Abdel Fatah El Sisi reviewed on Monday underway cooperation projects with the Chinese side as part of preparations for his visit to China next week.
The meeting brought together Prime Minister Sherif Ismail along with the ministers of electricity, military production, investment, trade and transport.
Also, the director of the Egyptian Intelligence and the chairman of the Suez Canal Authority were present at the meeting.
Presidential spokesman Alaa Youssef said these projects mirror the development of Egyptian-Chinese relations, a progress that was crowned with the signing of the comprehensive strategic partnership agreement between the two countries in December of 2014.
The meeting tackled steps taken so far to carry out these projects and suggestions to enhance partnership with China in all sectors, the spokesman added.
Sisi's visit to China comes upon an invitation by Chinese President Xi Jinping to take part in the BRICS summit.
BRICS is the acronym for an association of five major emerging national economies: Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa. The five nations have a combined nominal GDP of US$16.6 trillion, equivalent to approximately 22% of the gross world product, and an estimated US$4 trillion in combined foreign reserves.
After his participation in the summit, Sisi will fly to Hanoi, Vietnam, on an official visit, the first by an Egyptian leader to the country.
The Egyptian president will hold talks with top officials, including the president, the parliament speaker, the prime minister and the secretary of the Communist party.
