One person was killed and five others injured in an explosive device blast in Yusufiyah district in southern Baghdad on Monday, an Iraqi police source said.
Security forces cordoned off the area and wounded were ambulanced to a nearby hospital.
Earlier in the day, a booby-trapped car exploded targeting a local food market in Sadr City in eastern Baghdad, killing two people and injuring six others.
An employee at the Ministry of Justice was also killed in an attack led by armed assailants in western the capital.
