The Yemeni government and the Saudi Fund for Development (SFD) held on Wednesday an official talk session in the Saudi capital, Riyadh.
The session headed by Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Mohammad al-Saadi and SFD Vice President and Managing Director Yousef al-Bassam was dedicated to review SFD-funded development and service projects that are under construction in Yemen currently.
In prticular, they reviewed the final report of the implementation tender of the 1st phase of Taiz-Aden road project and the financing gap of the 1st phase.
The talks were also included the Water Desalination project and equipping of the Medicine Faculty, both are in Taiz province, in addition to the completion of outfitting of nearly 60 technical and vocational training institutes in the country.
Moreover, al-Saadi and al-Bassam discussed the ongoing arrangements for the meeting of Friends of Yemen to be held early next April in Riyadh.
Durin the meeting, the International Cooperation Minister praised the generous support provided by the Saudi Arabia to Yemen in various fields of development.
He stressed the importance of the financial and political support at the current stage in order to implement the outcomes of the National Dialogue Conference (NDC) and achieve sustainable economic development and to fulfill the aspirations of the Yemeni people to live with dignity.
