Vietnam is expected to earn 4.33 billion U.S. dollars from exporting agro-forestry-fishery products in the first two months of 2014, up 9.4 percent year-on-year, said a report by Vietnam's Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development on Tuesday. In February alone, Vietnam's farm export revenue is likely to hit 2.08 billion U.S. dollars, said the report. Among the total revenue of Vietnam's farm exports in January- February period, the country pocketed 1.73 billion U.S. dollars from shipping some major agricultural products to world markets while receiving 919 and 837 million U.S. dollars from fishery and forestry exports, respectively. According to the report, during the period, Vietnam has seen remarkable declines in several key farm export products such as rice, coffee and rubber. The increases of seafood and wood exports have boosted Vietnam' s farm export revenue in the first two months, said the report.
