Ukrainian oligarch Dmytro Firtash was freed from detention Friday after posting a bail of 125 million euros (173million dollars), a Vienna court said, according to dpa.The 48-year-old businessman had been detained last week on aUS warrant for bribery and organized crime.Firtash was known as one of the main financial backers of formerUkrainian president Viktor Yanukovych when the politiciansuccessfully ran for office in 2010, but Austrian authorities saidthe arrest was not linked to the developments in Ukraine.Firtash made his wealth by brokering Russian gas to Ukraine.His Vienna-based holding company is also the main stakeholder ofInter, Ukraine's biggest television broadcaster.Firtash is not allowed to leave the country while Austrianauthorities are mulling his extradiction to the United States.
