South Korea will convene a meeting later this week to check financial market conditions amid worries that recent market volatility could have a negative impact on the overall economy, the finance ministry said Tuesday. The meeting to be held on Friday will be attended by officials of the finance ministry, the Bank of Korea, the Financial Services Commission, the Financial Supervisory Service and Korea Center for International Finance, according to the ministry.
