South Korea's economy will face a "watershed" period in 2014 that will determine whether it will be able to join the ranks of advanced cuntries, the finance minister said Tuesday. In his New Year's message emailed to reporters, Hyun Oh-seok said that the government will focus on boosting the private sector and strengthening the country's overall economic fundamentals next year.
