The government on Thursday announced a set of measures to keep the country's power supply stable with reserves at around 5 million kilowatts (kW) during the winter season. The country's peak demand for power is expected to reach 80.5 million kW during the official winter season that begins on Monday, according to the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy.
