A number of national work pioneers, honoured by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa today as he patronised a special ceremony on the Kingdom of Bahrain's celebrations of its National Days on December 16 and 17, marking the anniversary of the establishment of the modern state of Bahrain as an Arab and Muslim country in 1783 by its founder Ahmed Al-Fateh, the 42nd Anniversary of joining the UN as a full member and the 14th Anniversary of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa's Accession to the Throne, expressed utmost pride in the Royal kind gesture. In a statement to the Bahrain News Agency (BNA) following the ceremony, the Foreign Ministry's Undersecretary for Regional and GCC Affairs Hamad Ahmed Al Amer, member of the Supreme Council for Women and businesswoman Afnan Al-Zayani, businessman Abdul Hameed Al Kooheji and the Social Development's Assistant Undersecretary for Human Resources and Finance Maha Hussain Mandeel extended sincere thanks and gratitude to HM the King for bestowing on them competence medals, noting that the kind initiative reflects HM the King's appreciation of Bahraini competencies and their efforts in serving the homeland. They asserted that the Royal hounour would motivate them to exert more efforts to serve the kingdom and its wise leadership and people, wishing Bahrain further progress and prosperity.
