President Park Geun-hye called on smaller businesses Thursday to try to expand into overseas markets, saying it is a must for their survival at a time when barriers to trade are crumbling due to free trade pacts. Park also promised that the government will do its best to help strengthen export capabilities of small and medium enterprises (SMEs), saying she believes it is a key to realizing an "economic renaissance" of Asia's fourth-largest economy.
