A Kuwaiti fund-raising committee announced on Wednesday it had donated USD one million to Kuwait Red Crescent Society to aid Syrian refugees.The committee said in a statement that the total of its donations since the outbreak of the Syrian crisis reached USD 2.4 millions, adding that it had provided the Red Crescent with USD one million in 2012 to buy ambulances and medical supplies for Syrians.The committee had also donated USD 50,000 in 2013 to be used in providing Syrian families in Lebanon with food under the supervision of committee member Tariq Al-Mutawaa, noted the statement.Moreover, supervising the process of handing food items sent by Kuwaiti citizens had costed the committee USD 446,000, the statement added.
