The first Kuwait Conference aimed to discuss the most important developments of the new Companies Act and the provisions on adjusting conditions of existing companies has recommended development of rules to regulate the securitization activity within the Capital Markets Authority Act and to reconsider status of the non-profit companies. He conference, which was held under the patronage of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Commerce and Industry, Dr. Abdul Mohsen Al-Madaaj, called for developing appropriate governance rules to be applied on joint stock companies within the provisions of the Companies Act.
