Shintaro Ishihara, co-leader of opposition Japan Restoration Party, said he will support government-proposed nuclear power plant exports to the United Arab Emirates in defiance of his party's opposite policy."Utilization of nuclear power is human progress," Ishihara said during a speech at a meeting of a party panel on energy issues, according to Jiji Press.It is ridiculous that the party decided in December on its opposition to Japan's bilateral nuclear cooperation pacts with Turkey and the UAE, said Ishihara who heads the panel.
