An economic delegation from Turkey and Iranian Bushehr Province's chamber of commerce, in a meeting in the Iranian South port city later today, are due to explore new ways for the promotion of economic ties in all the various fields.
Head of Bushehr Province Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Mines Ali Akbar Sharif Pour Bushehri said that the Turkish delegation comprises 60 investors and the head of Izmir Chamber of Commerce.
He further added that the Turkish delegation representatives of the Turkish investment firms will identify the grounds for investment and examine the infrastructure of the province for shipment of industrial output to the overseas markets.
The delegation will fly to Assalouyeh to visit oil and gas installations of the Energy Pars Special Economic Zone and will hold talks with relevant officials there prior to visit to Bushehr.
Meanwhile, the Turkish entrepreneurs will exchange views on mutual interest in a meeting to be hosted by Bushehr province chamber of commerce.
Sharif Pour Bushehri said that the Turkish delegation's visit to Bushehr will be reciprocated by Bushehr's businessmen who are scheduled to travel to Izmir.
He expressed hope the exchanges between the two countries, especially between Bushehr and Izmir, would boost trade, tourism and investment in near future.
Iran and Turkey increased their trade transactions in the first two months of 2014 as compared with the figures of the corresponding period in the last year.
The value of trade transactions between Tehran and Ankara hit $2.115bln in January and February, the trade data recently released by the Turkish government said.
Iran and Turkey have in recent years increased their cooperation in all the various fields of economy, security, trade, education, energy and culture.
The two sides have exchanged several politico-economic delegations during the last few months.
