South Korea's finance minister said Wednesday that the government's ongoing efforts to remove red tape will be different from past deregulations not only in their effectiveness but also in the determination of the government to succeed. "It is true that every successive governments of the past had vowed to reform regulations, but we will work to make sure that people realize that it is different this time," Hyun Oh-seok said at a meeting of economic ministers.
