The Egyptian government allocated two billion Egyptian Pounds (USD 287 million) for studies and infrastructure work for the development of the Suez Canal region, President of Suez Canal Authority said Saturday. Lieutenant General Mahab Mamish, also Chairman of the Executive Council for the development of Canal region, added in a statement the money would contribute to speeding up the implementation of the development project.
