Damietta Port received over the past 24 hours seven container ships and three cargo vessels, the Damietta Port Authority Media Center said in a statement on Wednesday.

The statement noted that 22 ships are anchored at the port's quay.

Meanwhile, two trains loaded with 2,389 tons of wheat and 97 vehicles carrying 4,854 tons of wheat left the port, the statement read.

The port's grain silo currently contains 140,127 tons of wheat belonging to the public sector, whereas The private sector's storage area contains some 65,590 tons, the statement added.
