China's Vice President Xi Jinping is making the right noises on his US visit, suggesting change is on its way in the world's second largest economy, Stuart Shrimpton of Intelligent Investments tells the BBC. As the designated leader in waiting, Mr Xi will have strengthened his power base, particularly due to his more conciliatory stance to the US compared with previous and present Chinese leaders, Mr Shrimpton says. However, he adds that China will still enact change at a pace that best suits its own economy in the long run, regardless of pressure from the US. From: BBC
