South Korean builders undergoing restructuring have successfully reduced operating losses last year, a sign that their self-help measures are bearing fruit, a report by a local construction association showed Thursday. According to findings by Construction Association of Korea (CAK) that checked 14 companies presently under court protection or in debt-restructuring programs, their combined operating losses reached 45.6 billion won (US$42.5 million) in the third quarter of last year, down sharply from over 972.1 billion a year earlier.
