The recurrent controversial input on some of the State Audit Bureau's reports has become "clear and under the scrutiny" of the government, National House Speaker Marzouq Al-Ghanim noted Sunday.
Al-Ghanim made this remark to the press after the conclusion of a parliamentary budget committee meeting today which was attended by His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Sheikh Salem Al-Sabah and head of the State Audit Bureau Abdualaziz Al-Adsani.
He said that the committee will discuss in its next meeting all suggested solutions and set up a timeframe to implement the findings. He added that there are some suggestions that have been previously made but they haven't been followed through.
The date of the next meeting should be set by the budget committee chairman MP Adnan Abdulsamad, and members of the committee.
On his part, Abdualsamad extended his appreciation to the premier's cooperation and his call for his ministers to attend the committee's meetings.
He added that the country's budget has jumped from KD four billion in the mid-90s to KD 21.5 billion nowadays
