Singapore stocks finished higher on Thursday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) up 19.76 points, or 0.58 percent, to close at 3,432.78. A total of 2.70 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 1. 51 billion Singapore dollars (1.23 billion U.S. dollars). Gainers outnumbered losers 240 to 217, while 493 others finished unchanged. The STI index gained 29.86 points, or 0.88 percent, to close at 3,413.02 on Wednesday.
