Singapore stocks finished lower on Wednesday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) down 15. 76 points, or 0.49 percent, to close at 3,213.79. A total of 1.85 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 1. 25 billion Singapore dollars (992 million U.S. dollars). Gainers outnumbered decliners 260 to 164, while 519 others finished unchanged. The STI index gained 46.11 points, or 1.45 percent, to close at 3,229.55 on Tuesday.
