Seoul shares ended higher on Monday. The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) rose 6. 52 points, or 0.33 percent, to close at 1,979.97. Trading volume stood at 251.67 million shares worth 2.93 trillion won (2.6 billion U.S. dollars). The local currency finished at 1,122.4 won against the greenback, up 5.0 won from Friday\'s close.
