Qatar Exchange pursued its upswing trend Thursday, adding 79.27 points (or 0.87%) to advance to 9,238.00 points from 9,158.73 on Wednesday. The volume of the shares traded fell to 14,163,544 from 16,699,196 on Wednesday and the value of shares decreased to QR467,859,354.38 from QR562,141,373.30  Wednesday. Among the top gainers were Qatar National Bank which was up 1.91% to QR149.40, Commercial Bank of Qatar rose 1.01% to QR69.90, Electricity and Water gained 0.97% to QR145.00 and Qatar Telecom up by 0.83% to QR121.70. The Banking and Financial sector index up 1.25 points while Consumer Goods and Services sector index dropped 0.49 points. The industrial sector gained 0.24  points while insurance sector lost 0.38 points.
