Nikkei opened higher Wednesday morning with yen\'s devaluation against U.S. dollar and the U.S retail sales data in July up. At 9:15 a.m., the 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average was up 97.90 points, or 0.71 percent, from Tuesday at 13,964.90. The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange was up 10.36 points, or 0.90 percent, at 1, 167.51.
