Nikkei opened higher Monday morning on easing fears over on early end of the U.S. Federal Reserve\'s stimulus program.
At 9:15 a.m., the 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average was up 67.75 points, or 0.50 percent, from Friday at 13,728.30.
The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange was up 5.09 points, or 0.45 percent, at 1,146. 72.
