Japan\'s benchmark Nikkei 225 Stock Average plummeted Friday as market sentiment was hurt by the yen\'s rise and uncertainty over a Cyprus bailout deal. The Nikkei lost 297.16 points, or 2.35 per cent, to end at 12,338.53 while the broader-based Topix index was down 19.53 points, or 1.85 per cent, at 1,038.57. For the week, the Nikkei fell 1.77 per cent and the Topix was down 1.26 per cent.
