Nikkei ended 0.18 percent higher Wednesday.The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average gained 22.17 points from Tuesday to 12,493.79. The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange was up 2.05 points, or 0.20 percent, at 1,046.47.Gainers included real estate, tire makers and mining, while decliners included airlines, insurance and fishery and forestry.The turnover was about 1,897.7 billion yen (about 20.01 billion U.S. dollars).
