Japan\'s stock markets surged nearly 3 per cent for the first rise in three trading days Wednesday on the yen\'s fall and overnight gains on Wall Street and European markets. The benchmark Nikkei 225 Stock Average gained 358.77 points, or 2.99 per cent, to end at 12,362.2. The broader-based Topix index was up 19.09 points, or 1.93 per cent, at 1,010.43, according to a report of DPA.
