Most Asian markets fell Thursday with Japanese stocks tumbling to give back some gains recorded in the last two days, while an increase in gold prices limited losses for Australian shares.
Japan’s Nikkei Stock Average skidded -2.12%, Taiwan’s Taiex gave up 0.8% and the Shanghai Composite -0.87%. Australia’s S&P/ASX 200 slipped 0.1%, while Hong Kong’s Hang Seng Index -0.0083% ended flat.
The South Korean market was today closed for a holiday.
