The benchmark index of the Indian equities market opened higher on Monday with the 30-scrip sensitive index of the Bombay Stock Exchange, Sensex, opening at 18,602.56 points. It is 83.12 points, or 0.45 percent higher from the previous close of 18,519.44 points.
