Europe's main stock markets steadied in opening deals on Tuesday as traders returned to their desks following the Easter holiday weekend. At the open, London's benchmark FTSE 100 index edged 0.02 percent lower to 6,410.76 points and in Paris the CAC 40 slid 0.06 percent to 3,729.28 points, while Frankfurt's DAX 30 rose 0.14 percent to 7,806.12 points.
