Egypt's bourse

Egypt's bourse continued on Monday its downward trend for the sixth consecutive session as all indices were down at the close of trading pushed by sales by institutions and foreign and Egyptian investment funds.

The market capital lost 5.4 billion pounds to end today's transactions at 701.4 billion pounds amid trading which reached about 619.6 million pounds.

The main benchmark index EGX 30 retreated 1.09 percent down to 1,3135.1 points.

The broader EGX 70 index of the leading smaller and mid cap enterprises (SME) declined 1.36 percent to 705.77 points.

The all-embracing EGX 100 index followed suit with 1.37 percent taking the index down to 1,578.80 points.
