The Egyptian Exchange on Tuesday gained 2.8 billion pounds on the backdrop of massive purchases by Egyptian corporations.
The EGX 30 benchmark index rose 0.78 percent to close at 5,157.15 points.
The broader EGX 70 index of the leading smaller and mid cap enterprises (SME) went up by 1.23 percent to reach 445.77 points.
The all-embracing EGX 100 index also increased by 1.12 percent to close at 744.48 points.
