The U.S. dollar traded in the upper 97 yen range early Wednesday morning in Tokyo. At 9 a.m., the dollar was quoted at 97.60-61 yen compared with 97.48-58 yen in New York and 97.76-77 yen in Tokyo at 5 p.m. Tuesday. The euro fetched 1.3177-3179 dollars and 128.61-64 yen against 1.3170-3180 dollars and 128.47-57 yen in New York and 1.3048-3049 dollars and 127.56-60 yen in Tokyo late Tuesday afternoon.
